Using Test Mode to Practice Using Show Books
Test Mode is a great tool that allows you to practice using your Show Books before the big day! This feature gives you the opportunity to explore and familiarize yourself with breaking classes, using subdivisions, and printing your Show Books in a risk-free mode, ensuring your fully prepared to run your show smoothly.
Step 1: Navigate to the Show Books section of your Admin Dashboard and select a show that you'd like to practice with.
You will see that there are no entries in your Show Book at this time. This is because entries must be checked-in and/or weighed-in before they are included in the show books. This is where Test Mode comes into play!
Step 2: Using the three dots . . . in the top right hand corner, select Enter Test Mode.
Step 3: You are now in Test Mode. From here you can practice adding class breaks by clicking the +Class button, adjusting class size by dragging and dropping a class break, and removing classes by clicking the red X. If you want to practice printing, be sure to click Save Show Book.
Test Mode will include all entries in the system that are registered under that particular Show.
Step 4: Practice printing your Show Books. After you have made adjustments to your classes and saved your Show Book, click the Print button to enter the print screen. From here you can adjust the print settings, class numbering, toggle between Ring List and Gate List, etc., and even print a test version of your Show Book!
REMEMBER - Test Mode is a risk-free space for you to practice and familiarize yourself with the Show Books. No changes made while in Test Mode will be saved or affect your actual Show Books. Feel free to practice and take advantage of this safe zone to build confidence and ensure you're ready for a successful show!
